The History of Saudi Arabia

The modern Saudi states in their various iterations for the last 200 years are all reflections of that unique marriage. The first Saudi state was founded on this pact in 1744 and lasted until 1818 when it was crushed by the Ottomans. And then we are now in the third Saudi state, initiated by one of the descendants of the founder, Muhammad Ibn Saud. He mobilized a religious ideology and forces to bring other territories under his control. This started around 1902.
