The Importance of Nobel Prizes
Philip Diningwright: How important are Nobel Prizes? Are there any scandalous omissions? You know, one thing I say about Prizes in general is by the time a field has a prize for it, the most exciting things have already been done. So in the Nobel Prize, he would say that it's a funny thing because it was notable for being more money than anybody had ever seen a prize be. Because of the amount of money involved, there were subsequently other kinds of prizes which end up being at least as much money.
