The lung parenchyma actually squeeze down on their own airways. And so in live patients, that they benefit from positive pressure on the way out to hold those open. It sounded like if you're operating at a very low functional residual capacity,. So it's easier for those airways to close when you're dealing with really low loan volumes. But if you have a bunch of air trapped on the other side of the closure inside the LVLI, during the inhalation phase when you push down, instead of pulling blood, you're gonna just be pulling gas.
