I agree that he does care about his characters in a way that the Cohen brothers at their most arch do not. But certainly most of his protagonist and even like the pedophile father and happiness like they are human. I watch and I went I understand exactly why this hit and why it continues to hit. Like watching it was Emily she was like how did Totsalons know all this stuff but like young kids used to do specifically young women used to do.
