What's Childhood Like Among the FA?

There's really no, as far as I can tell, no really pristine hunter-gatherer cultures today. And it's recently as sort of the mid-20th century and even into the 1980s that anthropologists could locate people living in a fairly pristine hunter- Gatherer way. So there's maybe three dozen such cultures that have been studied. There are a lot of interesting things that are similar across all of these bands. First of all, they have relatively few children. They're like us in that respect and not like farming communities.
