After the cops leave, it's around nine o'clock in the morning. My mother and i are both recovering from the night before. She cracks open a smearen off ice and heads to the back porch to sit. And she's staring out at the woods, and she's starting to look concerned. The afternoon passes, and she' still fixated on these men in the woods. A few hours later, i hear gunshots. And i run outside because they're coming from the back yard. I'm sayi'n i'm sorry, mamma, i don't know. I don't see them there.
