Are Robins a Friendly Garden Bird?

In the UK, we've got this association with Robin being a friendly garden bird. But it's not necessarily the case across the rest of its range. You might tend to find Robins in woodland and scrubland in places like Russia or North Africa. It isn't the case that Robins occupy the same kinds of habitats across its range.
