In our modern time, when we hear of christians falling into sin, we see christian leaders fall in even terrible and in very sort of a, in n disgraceful ways. Yet it shouldn't surprise us that, just as the israelites were prone to falling to sexual temptation or to their stomachs because they wanted certain kinds of food, that that same thing takes place to day too. It's hurtful and it's harmful when this stuff happens. But our attitude should be, we should be very careful to get up on our high horse too quickly. And so he says, god is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability.
