The Problem of Capturing the Risks of Nuclear Power

The central theme of our book is hyper novelty, which you hinted at here. It's not human beings can't adapt to novel circumstances, even if they're complex. The problem is that the rate at which we are producing these circumstances is greater than the rate atwhich we are learning to manage them. A then almost any of us would be captured by a system that has a perverse incentive. And so we have a very broken system, which is now putting the ones back on regular individuals who just want to look at things with a sober context.
