Is There a Line in the Sand That Jesus Is Pushing On?

I think one of the most damaging phrases used in church history is for the love of God and country. Not only can it hide unbelief, but it can definitely feed idolatry. There is nothing that would lead us to believe that Jesus came to turn over government structures or social structures. What he was calling us to do is to be a unique reflection of the kingdom. We learn to become what Jesus says we are. Salt and light in a world of darkness.
