The focus on studying males, part of me thinks immediately, maybe it's like too hard basket. Maybe researchers are worried that females will fall pregnant or that these fluctuations in their hormones are another variable and make it harder to interpret results. It wasn't necessarily about menstrual cycle fluctuations. It was the perception of women in general that they were not adequate to be in this scientific community. So when we look at scientific design, the female environment is never really examined.
