The Importance of Truthfulness in Leadership
The most essential quality to be found in a leader is truthfulness, integrity. Abu Bakr radiAllahu anu was the only one of Khulaf al-Rashidhi not assassinated. Follow me so long as I follow Allah and His Messenger,. If I don't follow Allah and his Messenger, there is absolutely no binding obedience on your part. And SubhanAllah, he is the first person to assume leadership in this ummah.
