The Importance of Godly Grief

Grief that produces repentance has to involve the recognition that you have sinned. Godly grief is something that leads to us opening up honestly to God about our failure and flaw, whatever it may be. This is why the Apostle John writes in his first epistle famously that we ought to always be confessing our sins. Jesus Christ has covered over that failure by paying for that failure and absorbing that failure on the cross.
