What's the Difference Between Athens and Greece?
Greece is a peninsula shoving out into the mediterranean, connected to the sea. It's very mountainous, and the mountains divide the geography in such a way that it is natural for small communities to arise. The ordinary greek policy was about three thousand people. Athens at the time of the persian wars was athens with 30 thousands. That's really quite unusual.
