Sister Sarah Butler, who initially wanted to argue for women's ordination, ended up having sort of an intellectual conversion after she went through all the different church documents. She has written about this extensively, has a beautiful, very, very accessible book on that. And it was through her own intensive intellectual work that really helped her to understand why the church does what it does.
