VB Claire Powell's writing is very cutting and witty. The main protagonist who remains unnamed is really incisive in her put down to everyone around her, even though she is also affected by consumerism online. It doesn't feel like you're going through a journey where someone's saying 'this is what'll fix it' There aren't really any easy fixes, it's more staying with someone at a point where their mental health is deteriorating and asking how social media encourages that.
