Life on earth just an incredibly rare coincidence that will only happen one in a trillion trillion trillion times? We don't know the answer to thata. The question, of course, is whether at some time in the history of mars there was the same kind of ironment that might have led to life on earth. But sometimes it takes a really long time. Like the record holders so far, it's something that takes abouta ten point seven trillion steps to die out. I haven't seen it yet, but i'm pretty sure it's going to exist.
