The Supreme Court Vacated William Melch at Dinkle's Sentence
Watkins argues that Melch at Dinkle's suicide advice is protected by the First Amendment. The court ruled that the words, advises and encourages be taken out of the Minnesota state law regarding assisting suicide because they were a violation of the Constitution. And as the word assisted was left out of his original sentencing, William Melch At Dinkle's sentence was vacated in March 2014.
