Japanese Navy - Admiral Yamamoto Gonbe

Yamamoto ganojoe was one of the seniormost and most seasoned commanders in the imperial navy. By 18 98 he became the navy minister for the cabinet, essentially the chief liaison to the civilian government. Yama moto was responsible for a great deal of the navy's war preparations for russia. He also used his military status to promote the japanese alliance with the united kingdom. Yamamoto later stepped down as navy minister to return to regular military life.
