The Importance of Financial Management in a Business

After working for Charles Schwab in San Francisco, I came back to New Jersey and started working at Schwab Capital Markets. We ended up doing a couple acquisitions and then selling that business to UBS. Neiman was fantastic. It was early mornings, late nights, but just absorbing everything that's going on around. And we went through a very specific business transformation change of cash traded equities. Everything was voice, very kind of old school or historical approach to trading. At the same time, there were a number of companies in the space that had become critical to NYC trade infrastructure. So they thought it would make sense to bring in technology as opposed to just a core part of NYSE
