The Risks of Adoption in the Early Days of a Protocol

In the early days of a protocol the design decisions that are made and what becomes the status quo is much more malleable at this stage than even a year from now. It's going to be very very difficult to change a protocol that has been implemented in certain ways by some big clients or even by a large number of clients right it could also be decentralized classification um yeah that is a risk and an opportunity as long as you can have some backwards compatibility. There's no consensus in in Austria which makes things a lot easier uh just like to some extent in in lightning if i'm a client that wants to implement some lightning feature i could modify the source code and just do it my own way
