Is Synthy a Recruitment Thing?

A few years ago, the r c amd p tweeted out a photo of my dad. He's standing next to an old police car in his uniform and looking very serious. I can understand that feeling of not wanting to talk about painful memories from your childhood. But it seems like having a microphone is giving us all permission to talk about things we've never talked about before.
