The Metaphysics of Presence
In the book, Peter Singer argues that no pure kind of communication can exist. But he says something that rubs me the wrong way in his argument against Derrida. He seems to suggest that bodies somehow house this kind of pure capacity to meet one another and I don't know why he put that in right at the end. It's one of those head scratching moments where I was questioning my whole understanding of it.
