Is This Really a Graduated Tax?
If you make over $100,000 a year in San Francisco, you have to live there. If you don't, that would be what a 3% cut off your income. This this tax like Bush's luxury tax back in the 90s may actually end up collecting about zero revenue. You're going to make it so it's cheaper to take a ride into work with the janitor and people are going to be carpooling in that 72 Pinto. Just avoid this kind of tax.
