The Origins of the United States
The british empire was in a pretty big crisis at the time uh prior to the so-called american revolution. The colonialists were very angry about this they didn't like seeing africans collect taxes from them. A lot of white Americans feel that there's almost this threat that now they'll become enslaved and that's one of the origins of the united states is the notion that the uk or what became the uk would enslave the colonialists.
