The Politics of Biden

Biden has essentially continued Trump's policies towards China. He hasn't reversed anything, trade barriers that they had imposed. Is that because COVID was such a big distraction that they haven't got round to it? What was it more that Biden actually agrees with those policies? I think it goes back to the point we started out with. It remains politically expedient in the United States for Washington to blame China for many of the problems that have been identified as serious threats to long term prosperity in the US.
