The Importance of Silence

We see this giant spherical ship rise up out of an underground bay and the crew rides a tram up to board it. This part I thought was actually excellent. But then we get some more kind of like launch footage and that stuff is less interesting. Then back on Earth, we see a giant television ball appearing in the sky over the Institute with a dude delivering the news. He's explaining how scientists have detected a ship approaching Earth, bringing aliens from quote, a distant galaxy. If you care about being realistic at all, the space between galaxies is immense.
