How to Control Anesthesia Under General Anesthesia
A lot of anesthetics are done with people just continuing to breathe for themselves. People don't generally swallow under anesthetic because you're at a kind of deep level of loss of consciousness, such that you wouldn't necessarily swallow it. If people are swallowing, it might be a sign that they're a bit lighter under the anesthetic than you would like. So do people ever wake up? Has that ever happened, if you haven't been there with someone? It's basically magic.
