The Importance of Community Development Corporations

I would be against cash payment reparations, but the word reparation means repair. I grew up in a Jim Crow and saw this was not just the injury, it did not end with slavery. And we need to rebuild them. We created what we call the community development corporation at Bed-Stuy. It is now the model for hundreds of community development corporations around the country because it works.
