The Epilogue to Childhood Pain
In the book's epilogue, you describe how you developed an interest in cooking and came very close to actually pursuing a career as a chef. "I think that probably I was learning to cook as a way of establishing a more normal or healthier relationship to food and to my body," she says. The author also talks about her fascination with French cuisine after overhearing a conversation about Algerians slaughtering their lamb for Ramadan.
