The Transhumanists and Science Fiction
The ecotopians are basically a kind of progressive force the interstellar are modernity they want what we've achieved in modernity preserved and extended forever into the future. The transhumanist is largely a cyberpunk vision it's about things like being able to replace large parts of the human body with cybernetic implants robotic implants. Transhumanism has become in a way a serious scientific discipline but i believe that the transhumanists are kind of dodgy science fiction writers.
