The supreme court was meant to be one of three co equal branches of government. It was not supposed to reflect simple majority preference, right? That's why you can remove your president or your senator if you don't like what they do. Supreme court justices are immunized. They serve for life. And so as long as the public accedes to the court's legitimacy and supremacy, then the court can continue to issue opinions and we abide by them. The court doesn't have an army.
