The Importance of Sensory Examination in GBS
GBS is acute, ascending, progressive, demyelating, peripheral, polyneuropathy. Most of them will be preceded by a viral-like illness,. especially gastros, but not all. Deep tendon reflexes are pretty much universally absent. About one-third of GBS patients eventually require mechanical ventilation.
