The History of Orford Castle in Suffolk

Orford Castle was built for King Henry II, who comes to the throne in 1154. The castle is on Castle Hill, so it's on a mound, isn't it? A grass mound. So it's elevated. It is elevated, and as Shelley will be describing in a minute, it's actually a very tall building in its own right. We know exactly when in his reign it falls, because we've got documentation that covers the whole period of construction.
