Is the Privileges or Immunities Clause Resurrected?

Some have argued that the right to pursue a lawful trade or the right to engage in the ordinary occupations of life should be recognized as a privilege or immunity. Professor Lash: I don't think either extension is a proper reading of the privileges or immunities clause. The court rejected Lochner, which invalidated attempts to regulate local contracting wages and hours.
