How Did the Pandemic Impact Charities?
The charitable sector makes an extraordinary contribution to our society. It does occupy a space that neither the state nor the conventionl for profit private sector would occupy, yet, very much so. There is an argument that almost the charitable sector ameliorates issues and it pushes them down. But at the same time they can be very specialists and particular things that the state can't do because of the diversity of society. To have a functioning and effective society is a much more grass roots responsive thing than may be a top down state sort of argument as well.
