What's the Thinking With Jeremy Hunt?
The markets had already priced in the U-turn at least on corporation tax before it was made. There is still a huge hole in the public finances and Jeremy Hunter is a new chancellor. He's still got to find a lot of money to reassure the markets that the government is not borrowing too much. As long as the government is still borrowing well over 100 billion pounds more than they were predicted to do, he'll put the price of guilt up.
