The Battle of Tunis in 1535
Hassan was captured by the Order of Saint John during a raid on Tunis in 1535. He and his fellow hospitalers were mobilized to serve the interests of the Ottoman Sultan. Hassan earned a reputation for bravery, leading a boarding party from Ali's ship onto a Venetian galley. In 1538 Jean and Hassan were both present once again at the Battle of Praveza off the coast of Greece.
