The Paradox of Queer Theory

Freud's writing on sexuality also attempted to provide insight into how homosexuality develops. The idea was that one had to embrace what Freud calls perversion as a source of life. Queering means troubling, upsetting, subverting the idea of this kind of stable thing we might call sexuality. And hence, Freud is so central to many queer theorists nowadays.
