Nien the beast roared again and started to charge, but Joo wouldn't run. She picked up the torch and stood over her father. The monster eyed her red robes and roared again, torn between anger and fear. "'You leave my village alone!" Joo cried. And she touched the end of the firework to the torch, the string lit,. hissing like a snake, burning towards the rocket body of theFireworks exploded with a resounding CRACKOOM! Red spinning sparks shot out in every direction and lit up the night with fire. Every year since, all of China has a giant new year celebration to keep Nian the beast away.
