The History of Hysteria
Most of Charco's patients were women, but he insisted very strongly that it was not limited to women. And if you look at the writing and actually look at some of the drawings that they were doing at the South Patria, there are definitely male hysterics as well. Now the numbers, they often will say that there are as many as 10 times as many women. But in combat populations which have traditionally been men, you see the highest number of hysterical conversions.
