The Unsustainable State of the World

The state of the world right now how centralized it is under one hedge a month is really an accident of history. It's remarkably unsustainable the idea that we could have this level of centralization with this type of technology. If you read like Neil Stevenson's snow crash or a lot of cyberpunk fiction, this is actually what they were predicting in the 80s and 90s. This is kind of the Gibsonian thesis that as technology expands and complicates that centralized government just becomes kind of impossible to maintain.
