In the late bronze age, in the LB2, we started having imported goods and lots of different types of goods that are under the control of the palaces. And so what I suggested was that at this point, the local pottery goes out of control of the Palaces and the potters become independent potters. The differences are really stark when you excavate a multi-period site. For instance, I've been digging for many years at Telborna, which has late bronze and iron two is burnished.
