i first became aware of you in the context of conspiracy i would call them hypotheses. What one needs is a toolkit for searching that landscape for useful information without falling victim to either a reflexive embrace of conspiracies or equally as bad a reflexive rejection of the idea of conspiracy which may solve your friends at cocktail party but puts us all in much greater danger of actual conspiracies succeeding and so the question is how does one address that?
