The Shining Barrier

Father Gregory is going to weep tonight when he opens his pages again. The fastest way to break the shining barrier by God is through sacrifice and the kind of turning over and over and over again outside oneself. So I think the particular thing for a married couple is that they can't become locked into a kind of navel gazing. But they have to always be headed someplace and directed towards someone else in their love. Otherwise it becomes disordered. You become obsessed with the project itself, you become obsessed with keeping the shining barrier. When the way to feed it is to love a family is to be of service is to engage in a life of a kind of relation and deep relationship with God
