Developing Critical Thinking Skills in Your School
The first habit that you want to develop in your class is whenever you have students give a statement, I don't mean an undisputed definition, okay? You've got to just keep asking them, well, how did you arrive at that response? So they start to think about this on their own and they're ready to answer it or they'll keep their mouth shut. And those are just the simplest things in the world with substantial assignments,. What you want your students to do is sort of a meta assignment at the same time. It's making them more aware of what kind of impact that reading had.
