Protecting Women and Girls in a Difficult Environment

The drought coupled with armed conflict is having a devastating impact on the most vulnerable, particularly on women and children. The humanitarian partners are providing life saving services in all hot spot locations identified as priority area one or op A1 and op A2 to ensure that services remain accessible despite significant challenges. But lack of specialized mental health and psychosocial support for traumatized women and girls is a major, major hindrance.
