EBPF allows a way for a much more efficient use of cycles and that was way faster. You can avoid that kind of transition by doing things in EBPF and sort of asynchronously transferring the information that you've collected into user space. So there's quite a lot of EBPF capabilities, particularly on the networking side that folks at Isovalent have developed in the Linux kernel.
