How Long Did You Stay as a Ranger Instructor?

I'd been there about eight months and I got orders to go back. To be an instructor in the Ranger Department, you had to have combat experience. And they're running out of people with particularly officers with combat experience because they're getting out. So they put an operational hole on myself and I think about three or four other guys that said, nope, you're not going anywhere. You're going to stay right where you are.
