Writing a Play - Is There a Specific Flow?

Was there a particular flow to you sitting down to write a play? Yeah, the story just like, cooks, it's just there. And then it starts looping back, a comedian would call it like a callback. You start finding little callbacks where things start looping in on themselves. It only works if you're fully present.
